- Patient triaged and then sent to a room or code 7/POP
- The nurse that triaged initiates medical directives on ED Record and gives the chart to the ER clerk
- The ER clerk processes the orders and puts the clipboard on the “To Be Seen” wall
- The ER clerk gives the patient a wrist band
OR
- Patient triaged and then sent to the waiting room
- The EMS crew takes the patient to Registration with the triage slip and the registration is completed by the Reg clerk
- The Reg clerk given the patient a wrist band and bring the ED Record to the nurse in triage
- The triage nurse determines if the patient is appropriate for MAIN or RAZ and marks it on the ED Record to be placed in the appropriate bin
- The triage nurse initiates medical directives on the ED Record and gives the chart to the ER clerk
- The ER clerk processes the orders and puts the chart back in the designated WR wall bin
